Submission to God’s Authority

Overview: Psalms 124-126, Romans 13

The Songs of Ascent continue, with these psalms reminding those who sing them that the Lord is their help, the Lord surrounds His people. Psalm 126 calls on the Lord’s past faithfulness and for Him to restore the fortunes of His people. 

Paul gives practical implications to walking in God’s righteousness in everyday life. The marks of a Christian community are believers who live new lives in Christ. Submission to government and authorities shows trust in God’s control and authority.
