Saved through Faith
Overview: Psalm 88-90, Romans 4
In these Psalms, the psalmist cries out to the Lord in deep affliction. Although the psalmist is desperate to receive God’s mercy, he trusts God’s promises, taking refuge in the Lord. The author prays for wisdom and blessings from God.
In Romans 4, Paul considers Abraham as a test case to prove that justification is by faith alone. Abraham’s righteousness was not based on his works, but on his faith in God. Abraham’s name means "the father of many nations," and Romans shows how he is the father of all those who believe God through faith in Jesus.
