Wisdom from the Spirit
David wrote these Psalms as a prayer of trust that God will deliver him even when no one else supports him. He remembers and meditates on God’s past faithfulness, describing His blessings available for those who trust Him. Psalm 144 prays for the prosperity of the descendant of David, finally fulfilled in Jesus.
In 1 Corinthians, Paul’s answer to the problem of division is the wisdom of God; that is, the message of the cross and wisdom from the Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches believers spiritual truths and wisdom, giving them "the mind of Christ." The key to healing divisions in the church is in the distinction between the world’s wisdom and God’s wisdom.
“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.” - 1 Corinthians 2:12
