Godly Wisdom
The book of Proverbs gives wisdom for walking with the Lord and practical applications for everyday life. It emphasizes wisdom, following instruction, and having reverence for the Lord. The author speaks from the perspective of a father stressing the importance of seeking wisdom and understanding. He promises that pursuing wisdom will result in many blessings.
Paul continues his letter to the church in Corinth, addressing the sexual sin that has taken place among their members. He warns that ignoring this will defile the church and hurt the whole congregation. The unrepentant man must face church discipline and be removed from their congregation.
