The New Adam

Overview: Psalms 94-96, Romans 5:12-21

The psalmist pleads with God to destroy the wicked and sings of God’s glory and holiness.

Paul writes about how Jesus reverses the consequences of Adam’s sin in Genesis 3

“For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.” - Romans 5:19

Though we inherit death from Adam, we inherit life from Christ. When Israel received the law, sin increased when they disobeyed God’s commands. But wherever sin increased, grace increases even more through the righteousness of Jesus.
