God Reigns over All
The book of Micah announces the judgment and forgiveness of God for His people. Micah warns Israel and Judah of the Lord’s impending judgment on them for abusing their power and rejecting His message. Powerful leaders have exploited the vulnerable and rejected the prophetic word from God. Although the Lord promises destruction, He promises to restore His remnant as the Shepherd-King of Israel.
Revelation 9 continues the vision of angels sounding trumpets to announce God’s judgment on the earth. After the fifth trumpet, Satan (called "the Destroyer" in Revelation 9:11) releases demonic activity to torment those who do not have the mark of God. The sixth trumpet represents the destruction caused by military aggression and warfare. This was the last limited judgment giving mankind an opportunity to repent (Revelation 9:20-21).
