Hope Has a Name

Overview: Micah 4-5, Revelation 10

Micah prophesies the restoration of Jerusalem among the nations. He looks forward to the day when God’s presence will reverse injustices and the weak will become strong under the Lord’s rule. He tells of a coming shepherd-king from Bethlehem who is hope for the world. This prophecy is fulfilled in Jesus.

In Revelation, John describes a vision of God’s heavenly temple. Angels sound seven trumpets, announcing judgments from heaven in response to the prayers of the suffering church. Between the sixth and seventh trumpet, an interlude shows God’s patience in sending judgments to give a last chance for repentance.
