To the End of the Earth

Overview: Nehemiah 11-13, Acts 1

After a moving covenant renewal, Nehemiah leads an effort to repopulate Jerusalem. Despite this, the people slip into the old sinful patterns of the generations before them. Nehemiah deals with problems about pure worship in the temple. 

The Acts of the Apostles is the sequel to Luke’s Gospel, telling the story of the early church as the fulfillment and extension of God’s eternal promises. Jesus prepares His disciples for Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit will empower them for ministry. At His ascension into heaven, Jesus commissions his disciples to be His witnesses to the end of the earth.
