We Are Fulfilled In Jesus

Overview: 1 Chronicles 10-12, John 7:32-53

1 Chronicles recaps David’s rise to power. Saul dies and David is anointed as the second king of a united Israel.

In John 7, the crowd becomes divided over if Jesus is "the Christ." Jesus gives an invitation to everyone to come to Him and drink "living water," the Holy Spirit flowing from our hearts.

Observation and Activation
“On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, ’If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” -John 7:37-38

David’s mighty men are a great example of his good leadership over all Israel. David’s army is made up of men from all twelve tribes, and his reign brings peace, unity, prosperity, and joy.

When Jesus gave the invitation to come to Him and drink living water, He was using a metaphor that meant to put one’s faith in Him. Have you quenched your spiritual thirst by putting your faith in Jesus?
