Sacrifices Pleasing to God
Overview: Ezekiel 21-22, Hebrews 13
Ezekiel prophesies the Lord’s judgment on Jerusalem and Judah through parables and metaphors. God was against the land and people of Israel because of their sin and impurities. He compares the coming judgment to the drawn sword of the king of Babylon and nicknames Jerusalem "the bloody city."
The author of Hebrews concludes his letter with points of application for the lives of the reader. These acts of faith in the lives of believers act as sacrifices pleasing to God, signs of His love in our lives. Hebrews closes with a blessing of the church to carry out the instructions from the letter.
