The Lord Speaks Comfort
Overview: Isaiah 47-48, Ephesians 3
The Lord gives comfort to His exiled people, promising them that His glory will be revealed to the nations. He announces the humiliation of Babylon, as the Lord will show that He alone is the one true God. Isaiah rebukes Israel for their stubbornness, but promises that God will free His people for His glory despite their hard hearts.
Paul reveals the mystery of God’s design to include Gentiles in His plan of salvation. The purpose of a unified Church is to showcase God’s wisdom to humanity and heavenly beings alike. Paul then prays that followers of Christ would be able to grasp the vastness of His love.
Do you understand how much Jesus loves you? How does that change how you see others?
