Blameless and Holy

Overview: Jeremiah 9-10, 1 Thessalonians 3

Jeremiah continues his condemnation of the false religion and idolatry of Israel and Judah. God’s people have become like the nations surrounding them, so they will share the same fate. The only thing that can save them is an intimate knowledge and love of the Lord. Being circumcised and set apart only in the flesh is not enough, it takes a heart devoted to the Lord to truly know Him.

Paul continues his encouragement of the Thessalonians, reassuring them that he hopes to visit them again soon. He offers a pastoral prayer for the Thessalonians, asking God to make them blameless in holiness at the second coming of Jesus.
