Restoration and Generosity

Overview: Jeremiah 31-32, 1 Timothy 6

Through Jeremiah, God promises there will be a restoration of His people after the exile. Although Israel and Judah were judged for their sin, grace would be waiting for them. The Lord prophesies a day when He will make a new covenant with His people (Jeremiah 31:31-40). This describes the future work of Jesus.

One of the main issues Paul focuses on as he closes his first letter to Timothy is greed. False teachers were exploiting the faith for material gain, but Paul charges the rich to prepare for the final day by giving generously now. Those with wealth are to be generous towards others.
