God’s Plans Bring Joy
Isaiah proclaims that through Jesus’ coming, God would make things right in the world (Isaiah 61:1-3; see Luke 4:16-21). The prophet anticipates a great day of celebration when God would join Himself to His people in marriage forever (Isaiah 62:4-5).
Paul urges the Philippians not to be anxious about anything, but to pray about everything. They were to focus on God’s best and live with God’s joy in their hearts.
