Savior of All Nations

Overview: Isaiah 23-24, 2 Corinthians 11:1-15

Isaiah foretells the judgment and grace of the world, as God is the Judge and Savior of all nations. He reveals the judgments against Tyre and the whole world for their transgressions against God. Isaiah’s third series of oracles describe the final days and God’s victory in vivid images. God’s kingdom advances because of His judgments.

Paul appeals to the rebellious minority in Corinth who reject his gospel and authority. He defends his credentials as an apostle, proving that what he taught them about Jesus and the church is true and bears fruit. He urges the Corinthians to not be swept up in appearances but to test the word and deeds of the false apostles.
