The Reward of the Righteous

Overview: Isaiah 25-26, 2 Corinthians 11:16-33

Isaiah reveals God’s judgment and grace for the world, showing him as the Judge and Savior of all nations. In his third series of oracles, he gives an apocalyptic vision of the end of history. The Lord ordains peace as He accomplishes His peoples’ ultimate and total victory.

Paul appeals to the rebellious minority in Corinth rejecting his gospel and authority. He defends himself against the false prophets by listing the service and sufferings he has faced in his ministry. He proves to be more credible than the false apostles by boasting in his weaknesses to glorify God’s grace and power.

Paul boasted about his weaknesses because through them he received God’s strength. Talk to God about where you need to receive his divine strength.
