God Is Our Comforter

Overview: Isaiah 3-4, 2 Corinthians 1

Isaiah warned God would humble the poor examples of human leadership in his day. One day, the “Branch of the Lord”—a prophetic term for Jesus—would bring blessing.

"In that day the branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and honor of the survivors of Israel." - Isaiah 4:2

Paul’s second letter to the Corinthian church describes God as one who comforts us in suffering. God fulfills all his promises to us through Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20).

We should trust God as our ultimate leader above all other leaders. How can you do this while still respecting other leaders in your life?
