Session 7
Passing the Torch
From Prepare the Way
When we look at the story of Scripture, we see that faith was always meant to be multigenerational. As one generation testifies to the goodness of God and the truth of the gospel, another generation hears the good news. Aren’t we grateful that the early believers didn’t keep the gospel to themselves?
NewSpring Church exists today because of the faithfulness of generations before us — and we want to live in such a way that future generations know Jesus because of us, too.
John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. The apostles walked with Jesus while He was on Earth and continued His ministry after his resurrection. Now, the torch has been passed to us. Will we, too, prepare the way?
God has commissioned us to help grow His kingdom. And we all have a part in preparing the way for more people to meet the Savior by sharing the gospel, our testimony, our resources, and our love.
As a church, we can prepare the way by participating in Vision 2030 together. By unifying around the goals we’ve received from God, we can do so much more together than we could ever accomplish alone. When you give, we see the kingdom come here in South Carolina and across the globe. Let’s join together to pass the torch of the kingdom to generations to come.
