The Power of Praise
These Psalms focus on unity, the need to worship together, and the importance of remembering the faithfulness of God. Psalm 134 is the final Song of Ascent, and its message fits the close of a worship service. Part of our regular corporate worship is not only to praise God but also to look back and acknowledge how faithful He has been to us.
Paul reminds the Roman churches how powerful the gospel has worked among the Gentiles. He shows that his ministry is an extension of God’s righteousness through his apostolic mission. As a result, he wants to expand his ministry to the Gentiles by preaching in Spain.
