The New Heaven and the New Earth

Overview: Zechariah 13-14, Revelation 21

Zechariah prophesies about the return of the King to purify His people. God will cleanse the world from sin and idolatry, restoring and renewing His creation. Zechariah looks forward to the day when all the world worships the true God.

In Revelation 21, John sees the renewal of the entire created order when God makes "all things new" (Revelation 21:5). The New Heaven and the New Earth is the eternal home of the Lamb with His bride. The New Jerusalem symbolizes the life of the Lamb’s redeemed people.

“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God." - Revelation 21:3
