Servants of the Most High
Psalm 19 connects the transcendent God of creation to the covenant God of Israel, Yahweh (the Lord). Psalm 20 trusts that the Lord will fight the battles for his anointed king. Psalm 21 looks forward to the eternal king who is “most blessed forever” and loved by the Most High.
Paul and Silas continue their witness in Greece on their second missionary journey. When a spirit of divination recognizes them as “servants of the Most High God,” Paul and Silas use their imprisonment as an opportunity to witness. They baptize the jailer and his family who now believe in Jesus.
