The Lord is Our Shepherd

Overview: Psalm 22-24, Acts 17:1-15

In these Psalms, David cries out to God when he feels forsaken. The Gospels will later use Psalm 22 to show Jesus as the ideal innocent sufferer. David rejoices when God vindicates him, professing his faith in the Lord as his shepherd and protector.

In Acts, Paul is witnessing in Greece and faces persecution from some of the Jews in Thessalonica. When he flees to Berea, they search the Scriptures to see if they align with what Paul was preaching.

The Bereans received the Word with readiness; open hearts and open minds. What’s your posture towards receiving the Word?
