Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God!
Overview: Psalm 49-51, Acts 22
These psalms express confidence in God’s justice and mercy. When confronted with his sin, David repents and humbles himself before God. David makes this personal as he cries out to the Lord in humble confidence that He will forgive and remain his God. David trusts in God’s mercy.
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Psalm 51:17
Paul gives his testimony before the religious council. He describes the reality that God is extending mercy to the Gentiles.
The religious leaders cannot accept Paul’s testimony of his spiritual journey. How do you respond when it seems others are against you on account of your faith?
