The King of the Jews

Overview: Ezra 7-10, John 19:1-22

Ezra is a priest who comes to Judah to re-establish the law of Moses in the Jerusalem community. He leads the people of God to repentance when they disobey the Word of God.

Jesus is beaten and mocked by Pilate’s soldiers. Pilate tries to release Him, but the Jewish leaders insist on crucifying Him. Pilate hangs an inscription on the cross that reads, “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.”

This political accusation is more true than Pilate or the people realize. Jesus chose to give up His life for us. Do you yield your life to Him?
