Questioning God
Job realizes his friends do not have the answers he was seeking, so he laments straight to God. He asks God to reveal his sin and asks why God has allowed him to suffer. Job recognizes that life is short, and death cannot be avoided.
After his arrest, Stephen gives his defense to the Sanhedrin. He uses the history of the Old Testament as evidence that Israel was in danger of rejecting the Messiah.
