Overview: 2 Chronicles 25-27, John 14

The kingdom of Judah continues its steady decline from the faithfulness during David’s reign to their eventual exile. The reigns of Amaziah and Uzziah warn of the dangers of pride. They enjoyed success when they obeyed the Lord, but faced judgment when they presumed spiritual roles that were not theirs to lead. 

Jesus instructs His new messianic community to prepare them for life after His return to the Father. Jesus shows that He is the exclusive way to the Father. He fulfills the teaching of the Old Testament by giving eternal life to all those who believe in Him.
