Signs of the Spiritual

Overview: 1 Chronicles 25-27, John 9:24-41

King David organizes the musicians, gatekeepers, and other officials to prepare for worship in the temple.

When Jesus heals a man who had been born blind, it causes division among the people. The healed man accepts Jesus’ claim as the Son of Man, while the Pharisees deny Jesus’ deity even in the aftermath of His miracle.

Observation and Activation
“So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, ‘Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.’ He answered, ‘Whether He is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.’” - John 9:24-25

In David’s kingdom, the rulers of the people serve their purpose of leading Israel in holy worship of the Lord.

Jesus opening the eyes of the blind is a physical sign of a spiritual reality. Sadly, the Pharisees chose to be blind to Jesus’ work in their midst.

Where are you blind to God’s work in your life?
