Draw Near to God

Overview: Ezekiel 13-14, Hebrews 10:19-39

Ezekiel announces the approaching judgment on Jerusalem and Judah. The Lord condemns false prophets who lead people astray. Their lies have turned people away from God. Next, the Lord rebukes those who ignore true prophecy. He points to Noah, Daniel, and Job as well-known righteous men as a contrast to the wicked people of Jerusalem.

Hebrews calls those who have believed in Jesus to persevere in their faith. Because we have full assurance of our faith in Jesus, we can draw near to God in confidence. The author also warns against shrinking back, promising judgment for those who willfully reject this faith.
