The Best is Yet to Come

Overview: Isaiah 59-60, Philippians 3

Isaiah warns God’s people that their sins have separated them from God; they needed to confess the evil in their hearts! But, the prophet also announces a great day when the Lord would rebuild Zion and restore His people to Him forever.

Paul tells the Philippians that true progress is following the example of Christ’s death and resurrection. Anything Paul has accomplished means nothing compared to the greater value of knowing Jesus. Whatever privilege Paul has gained, he casts aside to follow Him.

The Bible shows that the best is yet to come for God’s people. How can we best live today in light of that promise?
