His Grace is Enough
Isaiah prophesies about the kingdom of God triumphing and ruling over all nations. He then reveals God’s sovereign word to the world, showing the Lord moving the events of history through judgment to salvation.
Israel receives a warning against their self-trust, pride, and drunkenness. God’s judgment will prevail, and He promises a blessing to those who trust in Him.
Paul appeals to the rebellious in the Corinthian church who have rejected his gospel and authority. He has received visions of heaven but instead chooses to boast in his weaknesses to show the Lord’s power and grace. His "thorn in the flesh" (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) is a constant reminder that Christ’s power is most evident in our weakness.
