In Light of the Resurrection

The Song of Solomon is a collection of sensual love poetry showing that marriage is a gift from God founded on loyalty, commitment, and delight. The story introduces its main characters, two lovers who desire each other and look forward to their upcoming marriage. The shepherdess dreams in anticipation of their love and life together.
Paul clears up some confusion about the resurrection that the Corinthians had. He shows that without the resurrection, our faith is futile and we deserve to be pitied.
But the resurrection is true, and he appeals to the historical reliability of Jesus’ resurrection to prove it. All who are in Christ and His resurrection should expect to take part in the resurrection of believers on the final day.
