The Resurrection Body
The Shepherdess dreams, anticipating the love between her and her beloved. After her dream, the lovers express their desire for each other and exchange their praise for one another. The Song of Solomon concludes with the lovers joining together in marriage. They progress from their desire to completing their union in freedom and enjoyment.
Paul corrects the Corinthians’ confusion about the bodily resurrection of believers. He explains that God will transform the bodies of believers to make them into immortal, spiritual bodies. This is both a great mystery and a great victory, that God will transform us into physical bodies that never die, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
