Fuse Internship
Aiken, SC

- Intern will form connections with principals, teachers and coaches to connect Aiken Fuse with our surrounding schools.
- Intern will manage our outreach budget and maximize the use of our resources for the semesters they work. (Team meals, tailgates, school lunches, field days)
- Lead or facilitate at least 1 outreach touchpoint weekly.
- Create fun inviting environments outside of Fuse to build a desire in students to jump in on Fuse!
- Intern will need to be able to lift cornhole boards, coolers, tents, and set up for outreach events. (They may build a team to help with this)
- Intern must be prompt with responding to school administrators, coaches and staff of surrounding schools.
- Be early for events to ensure we make the most of every opportunity!
Help me know the state of our flock.
- Memorize and know Fuse group leaders and the corresponding grade they lead.
- Work in tandem with our Fuse lead coaches (Abby Harper, Nick Sanborn) to ensure Group rosters stay up to date. Meet monthly to update rosters.
- Meet with Fuse group leaders regularly to get a pulse on how they are feeling about their group. Gain insight on how we can better shepherd group leaders individually. (2 different fuse group leaders weekly)
- Plan volunteer nights/hangouts alongside me to build deeper relationships amongst our Fuse team.
- Hold Fuse group leaders accountable in taking attendance when they meet.
Make your presence felt.
- Attend every Fuse, every Sunday, and a discipleship offering weekly. Do this with passion and lead the way in enjoyment of God and His people in each of these spaces.
- In Fuse specifically, learn 3 new students’ names a week and remember them! Knowing a name goes such a long way in making students/people feel seen and known.
- If gaps exist on Sundays, Wednesdays, or at discipleship offerings, be quick to jump in and help as you are needed.
- Pray. Things move in the unseen as we pray and beg God to move. Don’t make the mistake of making this about us. This is all about Him and what He is doing. Pray without ceasing begging God to move in our city and within Fuse!
Work closely with Fuse Pastor to ensure both are on the same page about the work ahead.
- Weekly one on ones
- Consistent communication
- Truth and vulnerability in all seasons
