This intern will have these opportunities through the following:
Outreach
Much of student ministry involves being in the spaces that students are in. The intern would be expected to spend approx. 5 hours per week engaging in community outreach. This can be accomplished in various ways (football games, FCA partnerships, school lunches, etc…) The heart behind this is to take more land in our city for the gospel by simply being available.
Overseeing community groups
Community groups are the first look into discipleship that a new Fuse student has. The intern will be responsible for hosting community groups on Wednesday, coaching up community group leaders, and discipling community group students and leaders down the road to becoming official Fuse groups.
Gauntlet Summer Camp
Summer camp is a galvanizing yearly event for the Fuse team. It will be a requirement of the intern to attend the entirety of Gauntlet 2026. The intern would also assist with the recruitment, training, and leading of Fuse volunteers to execute the following responsibilities for Gauntlet:
- Schedule and equip volunteers for the Gauntlet atrium team
- Work with Fuse Groups Area Leader to recruit & schedule interviews for Gauntlet room leaders
- Student financial assistance process
- Monday departure & Friday return process of Gauntlet week
Holding leadership responsibilities within our weekly Fuse gatherings on Wednesday nights.
Supporting the campus Fuse Lead Team as they execute their responsibilities.
Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
