This internship is designed for someone passionate and eager to deepen their love for God while learning how to practically live that out within the context of the local church. As an intern, you will experience an intentional season of personal growth while gaining hands-on ministry and leadership experience. You will oversee three to four teams within Guest Services, including weekly tasks and Sunday operations. You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside the Guest Services Director in executing exciting campus events, such as For SC, Leadership Conference, Christmas Decorating Parties, and more.

Role Expectations:
Recruit, lead, and oversee three to four teams that fall under Guest Services
- Coffee Team: Manage coffee and supplies inventory ensuring adequate supplies are ordered, and work with coffee team leaders to brainstorm ways to engage guests and enhance this experience.
- VHQ: Meet with and plan with the VHQ team to provide fun, seasonal snack options for volunteers within budget.
- Office Team: Equip and lead office volunteers throughout the week, ensuring tasks are completed to enhance the guest experience on Sundays (e.g., communion prep, decorations, bathroom flyers, etc.).
Lead alongside the Guest Services Director in Event Coordination
- Collaborate with the Guest Services Director to oversee operational aspects of events at the campus level.
- Lead and manage atrium set up for large events like FOR SC and Leadership Conference.
- Build and train a volunteer/staff team to serve coffee, decorate (if needed), check in guests, and support the execution of events.
New Here/First Time Guests
- Personally follow up with guests who attended for the first time, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Work alongside the Guest Services Director and Discipleship Director to guide first-time guests into their next steps, such as serving, connecting to classes, or joining groups.
Shepherding
- Shepherd and pastor volunteers and team leaders across the coffee, VHQ, and office team through regular phone calls, lunches, and ongoing connection.
- Hold team leaders accountable to connect with their teams and ensure meeting needs regularly.
- Lead alongside the Guest Services Director by participating in Next Steps Conversations to discern in-the-moment giftings and best placement for those wanting to step in and serve.
Cast vision and participate in monthly Guest Services team meetings.
