A blessing for the new year

God of making all things new, 

Will you make me new this year? 

There are parts of me that need renewal, revival, new life. 

There are parts of me that need to die so You can grow something better. 

I surrender to Your work in me. 

I cannot do it alone this year. 

Unknowns await — celebrations, tragedies, joy, pain, unexpected surprises. 

I want to take the journey with You: always open, always listening, always obeying. 

Make my roots deep and my rhythms unshakeable.

Turn my eyes to You again and again when I lose focus. 

Grow me into an oak of righteousness, a beacon of new life for all to see.
