I want to teach my kids what truly matters in life, but first I have to ask myself, am I equipping them and giving them an example to look back on when they aren’t sure which way to turn? When they don’t know the answer to “Is daddy going to live a life based on the way he chased Jesus” when they find themselves in a difficult circumstance they’ll never be able to see what really matters. I want my kids to see where I send my money, my time, and my energy. I want my kids to see when I come home, tired at the end of the day, that what really matters to me is them and their Mom. I want to leave a legacy where there’s no one question what Chip Bordeaux was about. A man whose life was focused on following Jesus. That’s it. And I believe that everything else will come from that.
