Kaleb Dees was a Coastal Carolina football recruit with a promising career ahead of him.
In his freshman year, he began to doubt the Christian faith that his parents had taught him, ultimately believing that Christianity was stupid.
But even football couldn't fill the hole left by the sudden realization of the meaningless of life, and he sought refuge in pain pills and heroin. The drug use led to a staph infection that threatened the loss of his right arm and ended his football career.
When his trainer connected the events to his drug use, Kaleb suddenly saw his hopelessness and how far he had fallen.
A message he had heard at NewSpring Church about sin "taking you places you never intended to go," awoke him to the Truth that only Jesus could rescue him from himself.
