Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine!

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.” -  Titus 2:11

What a glorious celebration of life-changing news! God the Creator, enrobed in flesh, appeared as a human to rescue humanity. He came to save and redeem, to make a way when there seemed to be no way. At just the right time, “The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people!” (Titus 2:11). 

Not only did He come for us on a starry Christmas night two thousand years ago, but He is coming again! He will return for his Bride, to gather the saints into an eternal Kingdom. Until then, He is “training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age” (2:12). The “God with us” Christmas story is the story of our everyday lives. 

As Christmas decorations come down and the holiday season comes to a close, let us saints of God keep the story of Emmanuel in the forefront of our lives. Let us continue to sing the song of our salvation and tell the story of His love. He died to save everyone. The good news must go forth everywhere. We will sing of his unending, unfailing love every day. This is our song now and will be our song forever: Christ, our Savior, is LORD!

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
