Are Jesus’ words true?

Read John 7:1-24

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• We see in verse four that we often think we have to do things like the world to prove ourselves and be seen by the world. Why is this a wrong and dangerous way of thinking?
• In verse 18, we again see Jesus talking about working to glorify the Father, not Himself. If you were to look at your own life, are you following Jesus’ example so they can know Him, or do you want them to know you?
• The people tell Jesus in verse 20 that He has a demon. Why is that ironic?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
