Read John 5:1-17

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• At the pool of Bethesda, they believed they would be healed by getting into the pool at certain moments. We see a man who was paralyzed for 38 years hoping to be healed by getting into the pool, but he had a major obstacle to even get in the water: he couldn’t walk. In your life, if you were to evaluate it, are there places you’re trying to get healing the wrong way? Can Jesus help you get it the right way? 
• The Pharisees condemn Jesus for healing a man because it didn’t fit into their religious box. What do you think Jesus is trying to teach us by doing things differently?
• What does John 4:17 mean?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
