From The Life of Jesus: 50 Days in the Book of John

Read John 8:1-11

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• People wanted to kill a woman caught in adultery — neglecting their own sin. Do you think you often look at others’ sins more than your own?
• Why do you think the old people were the first to leave and not the young?
• Have you ever sinned in a way that brought a lot of shame and embarrassment? What can this interaction with the woman caught in adultery tell you about Jesus’ love for us despite our sins?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
