Read John 11:17-37

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• We see the shortest verse in the Bible in this chapter. Verse 36 says, “Jesus wept.” Why do you think Jesus would weep if He already knew that He would raise Lazarus from the dead?
  

• Jesus says in verse 25 that He is the resurrection and the life. Though we die, we will live if we believe in Him. What do you think He is getting at?
  

• Jesus raises a man from the dead despite everyone around Him being hopeless. Where in your life do you need a miracle? Have you asked God for it?
  

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
