Read John 8:31-47

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

  • In John 8:31, what does it mean to abide in Jesus’ word?

  • If Jesus is from God the Father, what is He getting at when He tells the people that their father is the devil? If our natural bend is sin, what has to happen in order for that to change?

  • Practically in your life, where can you stop being obedient to the devil and begin being obedient to God?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
