Jesus is the Light of the World

From The Life of Jesus: 50 Days in the Book of John

Read John 8:12-30

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• If Jesus is the light of the world, who or what is the darkness? What darkness in your life needs to be replaced with light?
• When Jesus says, “where I am going you cannot come,” where is He talking about going?
• People marveled at the authority of Jesus, but He repeatedly says that He does nothing apart from what His Father tells Him. What would look different about your life (and maybe what you saw God do) if you walked with the same perspective?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
