Will you follow Me?

From The Life of Jesus: 50 Days in the Book of John

Read John 1:35-51

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• In this passage, Jesus calls the first disciples to follow Him. Putting yourself in their shoes, do you think you would have given up everything and followed Jesus? (Remember, He had not been crucified yet nor performed any miracles.)
• In your own words, what do you think it means to be a disciple of Jesus?
• In John 1:48, Jesus knew Nathanael was underneath a fig tree before ever meeting him. What does this mean to you? Do you believe Jesus sees you and knows you?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
