How do I seek God’s will?

From The Life of Jesus: 50 Days in the Book of John

Read John 5:30-47

Now, spend some time reflecting on what you read and what stood out to you.

• In John 5:30, Jesus talks about seeking the will of the one who sent Him. In your life, do you think you more often seek the will of God or your own will? Which do you think plays out better for you?
• In verse 36, what does Jesus mean by “the works the Father has given me to accomplish?”
• Do you feel like you seek glory from others in your life? In verse 44, Jesus tells the Pharisees that they seek glory from one another. Why is this a wrong thing to seek?

Finally, spend some time responding to Jesus in prayer. What do you want to thank Him for? What do you want to ask Him for? What do you need to confess to Him?
